CHIN FONG METAL is engaged principally in the trading of Steel products as well as agents for Steel Mill and other international reliable Steel producing companies that are engaged in the same business.

Our responsibility is mainly the South East ASIA  and Indian continent. Because of the nature of our business, we are also involved not only with the Steel Stockist, Coil Service Centre but directly with end user like Steel Fabricators and Civil Engineering Construction company.

We pride ourselves in our ability to respond quickly and flexibility to our customer needs and in efficiently managing reasonably risk, technical support on behalf of our principal and customer. With our extended experience and exposure, we are confident to trade, manage or represent any reputable Steel Mills / Producers to provide our customer with Steel they need and quality services.

PROFILE OF CEO – MICHAEL K.H.LIM

Michael Lim has more than thirty years of experience behind him in the Steel And Construction Industries. He first started working for ALPHA-JUSTIN METALS who was an agent for BRITISH STEEL CORPN and as well as Aluminium Flat Sheets and Aluminium Foil producet (Agent for Sidal N.V.) for 4 years. 

Joined BRITISH STEEL CORPN as their local representative and was later promoted to Regional Manager with the responsibility for South East ASIA market base in their Singapore Regional Head Office in 1982 until he left to start CHIN FONG METAL PTE LTD (CFM) in 1993. 

Beside running CFM, he established another company in 1995 called UNION METAL RESOURCES (as their Managing Director / Chairman) on certain agreement with some local partner to be an Agent for Fundamental Resources LTD to handle product from HIGHVELD STEEL & VANADIUM CORPN LTD, SCAW METALS LTD AND FLATHER BRIGHT STEELS. Resigned from this company in 1997 to fully concentrate on CFM business.
